It's been so long...

Oh blog... why has it been so long? because you forget about things, then when you remember other things come up...Well OK, That is why. I'm sorry i left you, Oh, bloggy of mine.

So... what has happened? I have continued doing art, some good, some not so. I've been loving Life Book 2012. and just art in general.

This week i have started an IGCSE in art and design, which i'm not sure about as of yet. it is more scheduled and you must do this, you must do that... I'm not sure if i can cope with that, but you never know until you try. I have also been doing a lot of fiction writing. Actually writing a short novel-ish thing at the moment, though very slowly and steadily.

OOoh and I have just seen this giveaway. Which looks AWESOME! I'm sooo entering! The prizes look amazing. And Effy does some amazing vlogging, I'm so glad i have seen all of the artists from lifebook 2012, so many different techniques and personalities. Artiful Book!

Yay Yay Yay. I HAVE CREATED SOMETHING NEW!!! Well probably not... I think that might have been wasted capitals.


Anyway I shall now say what I have done, I have basically just covered a sketch book In lots of collage paper. But I'm going to fill it with loads of art work. Pretty much the same as some people do 'Art Journalling' but I calling mine 'My Artiful Book'. Why? Because I can ha-ha.

I actually spent quite a while thinking about how I was going to cover the cover. And I decided on doing a Vintage-Y, old fashioned look thing (I don't think that sentence made sense). The front cover has a little button sewn on and some string on the back to keep it together when it is full of stuff.

So the stuff I'm going to do in it is probably similar to what people put in art journal's but I am also going to do some sketching in it. and probably use it to test new things before doing bigger versions! 

And that my Artiful book. Hopefully be filled with stuff before I know it :-) 

Oh and iv'e just realised I definitely have just created something new... It's just a sketchbook/art journal with a different name!

Glow!!!

So this is one of my latest creations.
When I make art I like using cool tones when Painting/Adding colour. So colours like Lilac-yyy purple, Blues and Greens. 
But This one is Different, This one is New, This one is WARM. (just adding in some dramatical effects) So Oranges, Yellows, Reds, Pinks and Warm Brown. 

 So this pic is a close up of my little fairies face, I personally find bigger faces easier, just because it is not so hard to do fine detail. I'm not sure I like the shape of the eyes. But, It kind of makes her look thoughtful, Don't you think?

 This pic is of the full Fairy. When I started drawing this, I wasn't planning on doing a Fairy, I was going to do a girl holding a candle and maybe make it look old fashioned? But I thought 'This might make a cute Fairy'

And finally the full picture. This show's where the name of the post came from 'Glow' 

I finished painting the whole picture and was left with a blank space all down the right side and didn't know what to do! I thought about maybe drawing an animal but I was sure what it would be and whether it would ruin the picture or not. So after leaving it a few days without  looking at it, I went back to and thought that it looked like the glow of a fire place so I wrote glow in gold pen!!!

That is what I really like about drawing and painting, if you get brain block for what to do, just forget for a couple 'O' days, go back to it and you have an all new perspective of it. Or you could ask someone else's opinion. Then you can see it from someone else's view  :-)

Life Book: Page 1!!!

So in the beginning of  TWENTY TWELVE a new course- Ran by Willowing- called 'Life Book 2012 Started. It is a course celebrating You! You create 2 pages a month - sometimes 3 - One page by Tam the wonderful person running the course and one by a guest teacher.


 Now I was a bit late starting the first page, may I say that postal people are evil why must you make me wait!!! Joking. Yeah so I was waiting for basically all the supplies to come; water colour paper, paints, crayon things etc. But when it finally all got here I started woo hoo... Yeah that didn't last for long!


My first attempt at this page went rather quite wrong :-s It was all going rather well until I painted the second eye it, I was pretty proud of the first eye, but the second smudge it to a grey blob thing. So I left it to dry and was going to fix it. That didn't work so someone said to me " why don't you give it an eye patch? " after saying no to that idea many times I ended up putting an eye patch on it, Thinking If it goes wrong you can always start again.  So this is my first attempt :

I ended up finishing the background but didn't bother to do all the writing on it :-D I was really liking it 'till the annoying eye, Never mind, Now I have something to remind me that not every ends up the way we wanted!


But I'm rather quite happy with my second attempt, It is quite different to the first with all the colours I used, but i think it is pretty :) Here are some pics:

I would have done a pic with  the swirly writing in, but if If I did it would have loads of things in the background :-S
